Please send your child with a note for their classroom teacher and a snack.

Monday Classes

LEGO WeDo 2.0 Robotics 
Grade levels 2-5 
Time: 3:05 – 4:05PM
Limit: 15

Cost: $90.00
Dates: 1/28, 2/4, 2/11, 2/25, 3/4 and 3/11

Learn all about robotics and coding with this fun LEGO Robotics class! Participants work in teams to build and code the robots using LEGO’s visual, block-based programming language to perform a new challenge each week. Participants will utilize a motor, sensors, and of course LEGO, all while learning about the fundamentals of coding!

Hair Braiding Lessons
Grade levels K - 2 
Time: 3:05 – 4:05PM
Limit: 10
Cost: $35.00
Dates: 1/28, 2/4, 2/11, 2/25, 3/4 and 3/11

Learn to Braid:  This 6 week program will start with the basic three strand braid and will progress to more advance braiding techniques.  Each student will have their own mannequin doll head with long beautiful rainbow hair along with all the supplies needed to create fun new hair braids.  At the end of this program each student will bring home their mannequin doll head so they can continue to practice and create fun braids.

STEM Enrichment - Snapology

Kinder Bots
Children will begin to explore the world of robotics as they build simple models that teach the fundamentals of robotic design. Whether learning about sensors while building drills and magic wands or discovering ways that gears and pulleys create movement while building helicopters and robotic dogs, your child is sure to have a great time. Snapology

Yoga - Six Week Program

Flow and Grow Yoga teaches yoga and mindfulness to children and focuses on strengthening the core and overall health, mental focus and awareness, and social emotional learning. Please feel free to check out the website linked above for lots of amazing yoga resources. *Children should bring their own mat. If they do not have a mat, please email Mrs. Breen prior to the class and we will be sure there is one they can borrow.

Basic Engineers:

In Snapology’s Basic Engineers children will build super-cool models that use gears, axels, and pulleys. Students will work in teams under guided instruction to build a different model each week. This class is designed so that children of all building abilities can build together. They will also have plenty of free-building time to express their creative side.

This is a great opportunity to introduce your child to Martial Arts.  Martial Arts classes foster respect in all senses of the word. Your children will learn not only to respect others, but to respect themselves as well. Self-confidence is key in carrying respect into the home, school, and other social situations.

Kids in Sports is a specialized sports program in Walpole.  They instruct children in multi or sport specific classes focusing on:  Baseball, Basketball, Flag Football, Floor Hockey, Lacrosse, Soccer and Volleyball.

The Kids in sports mission is to teach children the fundamentals of sports in an organized, safe, fun, friendly and supportive environment; emphasizing sportsmanship, teamwork, respect and communication, this program serves as a building block for young athletes.  Register on-line at semass.kidsinsports.com (Under "Locate Us", click on Elm Street School) - space is limited.
